"This series is well written and not wordy as some claim. They are gripping and hard to put down. The story of Jared transforming from an IT nerd to a survivor and battle-scarred family man was a pleasure to read. I hope to see more post-apoc novels from the author."

"This one follows the actions of military protagonists fighting a war on American soil as well as the plight of a family caught in the middle of the conflict far from home. As someone who lives in Alabama but works in Palo Alto, this is one of my particular fears — being separated from my family during a national crisis. Well written and totally worth reading."
